I jumped the transistor out and now have acceptable fm volume. I have not figured that out yet, but it doesn't seem to be the transistor. The second IF fm transformer couldn't be tuned because the slug was stripped, so I rebuilt it from the junk parts that I had created.įinally, after pulling and testing and subbing several transistors, I discovered that the second fm IF transistor was not amplifying. I rigged a sub-sub-mini orange fm oscillator coil and got am back, realigned fm and made it back to ground zero, fm but low volume.
